Raja Mohtam, a border post in the Ferozepur sector, was occupied by Pakistani forces in December 1971. Assistant Commandant Ram Krishna Wadhwa assembled an unusually small team, reportedly including an inspector, a sub-inspector, four constables, and two cooks.

After hours of fighting, the team recaptured the post. Wadhwa was later killed while defending it against a counterattack.

This is technically a BSF story rather than an Indian Army story. I would publish it as an occasional “Beyond the Army” feature inside the broader valour archive, with the organisation clearly identified. That honesty makes the story stronger, not weaker.
